mzvarner Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) This tent was a gift from my parents. I told them I was looking at a tent for winter camping/climbing, and this is what they surprised me with. I only used it one time car camping in leavenworth. It is in perfect condition. i even spent 2.5 hours seam sealing the whole thing. Since its pretty much brand new im asking 500. If you want pics i can email them, but idk how to post them here. i will ship it too, but you will have to pay that too. Edited October 25, 2009 by mzvarner Quote
timmy_t Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Or you could just buy a brand new one for $19 more at e-OMC -- http://www.e-omc.com/catalog/products/5390/Mountain-Hardwear-Trango-31-Tent-S09.html Quote

grandpa Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 .... ill do 400 obo or shipped for 500 Wow, $100 for shipping? Must be quite heavy..... Quote
mzvarner Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 What im tryign to say is i dont want to loose to much on this since i never used it. yes its heavy (~ 12 lbs). i would be willing to trade for a set of ice tools (vipers, nomics, etc) or a set of 185 karhu xc guide skis, or silvretta 500 lsv binding (large) Quote
robpatterson5 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Seems quite optimistic - still, we'll have to see what the market dictates. Quote
mzvarner Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 well then what does the market think is reasonable? The market needs to keep in mind its been used once, is 6 months old, and retails for 520-650. Quote
cory.nyc Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I would think its safe to say sell it for $400.00 Even if its pretty much brand new, people would rather spend $18.00 more and get ti with free shipping brand new themselves. You gotta give someone a good deal if you want to sell your personnel gear, even if it may be brand new. Just a question, why did you spend 2.5 hours seam sealing a new tent, it shoulda came sealed? I got a trango 2 and had it for 3 years and it still doesn't need to be sealed, and Ive used it quite a bit on Denali, Rainier, Tetons and in the Whites and Dacks. Quote
mzvarner Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Ok like i said then 400 obo. The seam sealing was 2 hrs over a couple of days, i got bored after a while and would move on. Quote
