BrianB2 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Looking for 3-day alpine climbing trip Aug 28-30 (Fri-Sun). I can follow only to 5.7/5.8 or so but am super-fit and fast. What I've done recently (looking for similar climbs): Rainier - Fuhrer Finger (II) Goode Mountain - NE Buttress (III, 5.6/5.7, carryover) S. Early Winters Spire - SE Buttress (III, 5.8) A few on my list (but happy to entertain other ideas): Challenger/Whatcom Luna/Fury Stuart W. Ridge Forbidden W. Ridge Johannesberg NE Buttress I get into Seattle Thursday night and have to be back Monday morning, and would like to spend the whole time climbing if possible, so if you have any 3-day trips on your list... -Brian brian (at[ bb25 &dot% com Quote
rocketparrotlet Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Johannesburg is a very hard mountain; I think you should reconsider. I have heard many nightmare stories, although I have not climbed it myself. Can you lead? If so, I might be interested. -Mark Quote
