Trip Report:

I've skied the east side of Chair Peak down to Source Lake many times. Somehow I never bothered to ski the north side though. I figured I should make up for that. Cman and I had a fun ski down to Snow Lake.

There is some nice powder to ski. Some is wind packed though, and given the current winter you're skiing on a frozen spring layer.

 

It wasn't perfect pow, but it was a pretty fun trip.

 

Gear Notes:

Snow sliding equipment is advised

 

Approach Notes:

Go to Alpental then head towards Chair Peak.

Good to know, thanks. I have been up there and not been sure it would go through without cliffing out.

Great Kurt, Ive done that a couple of times, luckily with experienced people as it does have huge cliff penalties.

Yeah you need to be careful about picking lines. There are a few big cliffs above Snow Lake.
