Last night I decided to go snowshoeing. I walked into our garage, opened the door, threw on some snowshoes and walked a mile on a pleasant breakable crust over 4 inches of powder downhill to the Albertson's. The hike uphill with 30 lbs of groceries was less pleasant. ;-)

 

Today, with 8 inches of fresh pow, it was irresistable, so I donned the snowshoes again, and hiked to the Eastgate P&R. The snowshoeing was even better than the previous night, and much better than I usually get all winter in the mountains.

 

Can't wait for the reverse commute after work tonight...

Yeah, but not in the trees by the creek above school.

 

I imagine the slopes up through Whispering Heights are less frequently plowed. At least they weren't plowed yesterday in the AM.
