I walked into our garage, opened the door, threw on some snowshoes and walked a mile on a pleasant breakable crust over 4 inches of powder downhill to the Albertson's. The hike uphill with 30 lbs of groceries was less pleasant. ;-) Today, with 8 inches of fresh pow, it was irresistable, so I donned the snowshoes again, and hiked to the Eastgate P&R. The snowshoeing was even better than the previous night, and much better than I usually get all winter in the mountains. Can't wait for the reverse commute after work tonight... AlpineK Posted December 22, 2008 Share Posted December 22, 2008 Yeah, but not in the trees by the creek above school. I imagine the slopes up through Whispering Heights are less frequently plowed.
