mattp Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Is that the Mariacher? I bought a pair of those in Andermatt, Switzerland. I still have 'em in my basement somewhere. Good solid and comfortable shoes! Quote
Dane Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Yep Mariacher. These came from Mtn Gear. Climb is "Weasles side 2", originally a 1985 trad route, still .11c but recently bolts were added at the crux sections. Nice shoe, beautifully made. I used them one some face climbs but the Fire' Cats or Ballets always fit me better. Funny stuff and a long time agao now Quote
PhöQ Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Me and my first real shoes at Juniper Butte, just outside of Cedar City, UT circa 1985 Roadkill, 5.11a TR Quote
PhöQ Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 More mariacher memories R&I 8 with Christian Griffith at horsetooth in his Mariachers Inside the cover of same mag, a classic slew of ads circa 1985. Quote
el jefe Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 had one pair of mariachers back then. too narrow in the toe for me, i preferred the way fires fit me better. shoes have certainly improved immensely. Quote
