pup_on_the_mountain
Sounds like a really fun trip. Good read and pics as well. Thanks for sharing!
intheways
Even living in Missoula for 7 years, I didn't get up Shoshone. Nice job with the TR!
Bug
Great TR! I learned to climb on those rocks. Wise decision on the Afterburner. What you said about Shoshone - 5.8+ but better be a solid 5.9 leader - is true of the afterburner too except that you should be a solid 5.10b leader to do that 5.10a route. And as you pointed out, you are on your own out there. Good pics. Thanks for the mini vacation.
chase986
Hi Chris, I met you on your trip to Montana, we drank some beer at the parking lot of Kootenai with Blase. Just got off shoshone yesterday myself and really excited about it, what a great route! Any way, good to meet you and was funny to read your trip description after seeing you. Happy travels, Chase
Winter
Hey Chase - thanks for the beer! Good work on Shoshone. Nice huh? Y'all got some nice rock out there. Wish I had some more time to explore those canyons.
Spiral_Out
Blodgett canyon has the best of it. Don't expect to travel up any ol' canyon in the Bitterroots and expect to find great rock on long routes. Thanks for taking me back there for five minutes. I miss that place.
