Cpt.Caveman Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 I'll take the garmonts. Send you PM Later. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Not to hose Fred's sale, but have you worn the Sticky Weekend before, Caveman? DFA had a pair for a few years, and the fuckers were not very comfortable. Conspicuously absent was any sort of effective cushioning underfoot. Despite what appeared to be foam on the bottom of the shoe, it was a lot like walking on plywood soles. That, and the clever way the sole gets thinner toward the toe (allowing you to climb better in them) keeps your feet canted forward at all times, making walking downhill an unpleasant endeavor. DFA's advice, though you're surely loath to take it, is to try a couple other brands. The Lowa low tops (forgot the name temporarily) are an extremely cush ride. Quote

I replaced the stock liners with cushier ones and they work just fine. I just bought them a little on the small side. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Fred I own a pair for 4 years. About to retire the ones I have now. I use them to boulder in and toprope easier climbs. Check personal messages. Have the lowas for one year they suck anus for my purposes. [ 11-25-2002, 02:38 PM: Message edited by: Cpt.Caveman ] Quote
