Lipschitz Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Did anybody climb Rainier over the long weekend? What was the weather like? Cloudy / whiteout? A friend from out of state wanted to come and climb with his buddies. I sent him links to weather forecast sites and he changed his plans. I hope he made the right decision... Quote
ScaredSilly Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Sunny, mid 70s, light wind and ... Oh wait that was for Malibu. Quote
lunger Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 on Sunday on the NW side of the mtn it snowed off and on, mostly on, into the evening, then cleared up after nightfall. we didn't crest 10k, but my guess is that viz sucked pretty high. check turns-all-year.com too, i'm sure you'll get more info there re: the S side.
