Knottygirl
Hey all, I am heading out to Whitefish/eureka area at the end of this week. I haven't been to that area in awhile. so i am wondering if there are some places to climb. Sport and moderate trad (although I am unfortunately low on gear). Thanks a bunch, brienne Edited August 27, 2008 by Knottygirl

DRep
It's few and far between around there. Check out Lake Koocanusa, a bit of a drive, but it's got some good stuff!
Argus
Lake Koocanusa = Stone Hill = Eureka  I picked up a guide book at Rocky Mountain Outfitters in Kalispell last time I was there. There is some other stuff like Kila Crag in Whitefish, but you're better off going to Eureka.

Bug
Yeah, northern montana is mostly low metamorphosed sedimentary rock. Not a lot of high quality rock climbing to be had.

samh
Mountain Project has limited info about Stoney Hill and Lost Horse Canyon. The guide available at Rocky Mountain Outfitters is bomb.
