Climbing around Whitefish/Eureka

Hey all, I am heading out to Whitefish/eureka area at the end of this week. I haven't been to that area in awhile. so i am wondering if there are some places to climb. Sport and moderate trad (although I am unfortunately low on gear).

i've heard some mention of stone hill outside eureka, any beta

It's few and far between around there. Check out Lake Koocanusa, a bit of a drive, but it's got some good stuff!

I picked up a guide book at Rocky Mountain Outfitters in Kalispell last time I was there. There is some other stuff like Kila Crag in Whitefish, but you're better off going to Eureka.

Yeah, northern montana is mostly low metamorphosed sedimentary rock.

Not a lot of high quality rock climbing to be had.

Mountain Project has limited info about Stoney Hill and Lost Horse Canyon. The guide available at Rocky Mountain Outfitters is bomb.
