B-S col is still mostly filled in, the 'schrund is just starting to open. The glaciers are mostly covered with no crevasses showing. Most routes seem to be free of snow. The day before that 3 inches of snow fell at applebee camp, and about 6 inches around the howsers and pigeon. The col was cruiser...no need for crampons or axes, however it was rapidly deteriorating, and small bits of gray ice were starting to show at the top of the col...the shrund' was also quickly beginning to open as said before. All the trade routes seemed good to go as evidenced by the traffic....there were some large cornices on the summit ridge of south howser...so that could be time consuming.
