Dechristo Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 It may well be a good investment to stock the pantry, now. Quote

rmncwrtr Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I heard on the radio that Costco was limiting the bags of rice you could buy. I guess there's been a run on rice in several of their stores. Quote
Doug Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Can Harry Pi weigh in on this? We will waive the rules to allow commie to post! Quote
G-spotter Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I heard on the radio that Costco was limiting the bags of rice you could buy. I guess there's been a run on rice in several of their stores. Prices at Costco (and Sam's Club) were lower than some major wholesalers. As a result, restaurants and caterers were bypassing the wholesalers and making large bulk buys from Costco and stores were running out. Hence the volume limit on sales. Quote
archenemy Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Isn't Costco supposed to be a wholesaler? Quote
