Cairns Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Trip: West Vancouver - the traverse Date: 2/24/2008 Trip Report: There were a horrible number of spiders. Therapy might uncover the buried details of the climb but who has the time or money? Here are the pictures. How can there be spiders in February? the North side of the traverse in summer February 24, 2008 North Middle South Quote
G-spotter Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Those spiders aren't the spiders from Charlotte's Web, that die off like clockwork every fall. They are more like the facehuggers from Alien. They hibernate in the cracks until you traverse under them, then they jump on your face. If they miss, a sea lion eats them. It's a short and brutal life but it has its own particular charm. Quote
alpineyeti Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Woo hoo Deep Water Solo! Looks fun, sans spiders of course. Quote
