RuMR Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 My oldest just got a pair of the 5.10 mini mocs yesterday...these things are awesome...My guess is that they are fragile but should climb really well. The leather is thin, almost glove like and they are soled with rand rubber (very thin). The best part is they are scaled down anazasi toes as opposed to the normal "kid" shoe (think bulbous but comfy toe box). They should climb face pretty damn well... He'll probably outgrow them as fast as he tears them up... Its awesome to see the climbing industry following the ski industry and outdoor industry in producing quality high performance equipment for kis. Not just crap... can't beat the price either... Quote

RuMR Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 i would not recommend these to someone who doesn't have their footwork down though...They are not built tough so will not hold up to sloppy and thrashing footwork...they are truly a high performance slipper... Quote

OK. Good to know. $40 is indeed a good price. Quote
RuMR Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 he's only 8... i do make him do chores though... Quote
Bug Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Yeah. My kids do chores too. It's still more work for me to get them to do them than it is to just do it myself. It's hard not to spoil the little rascals. Quote
RuMR Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 i dunno...my kids have waaaaay more committments than i had at that age... more homework, more this, more that... its tough to be a kid today...imo... Quote
Bug Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Agreed. But that doesn't make me their freakin maid. I also talk to them about time commitments and planning their activities so they will have time to play. My youngest is 10 now and she totally gets it. It is important to have downtime. Quote
ken4ord Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hey kid rock shoes are concerned, who makes the smallest pair of rock shoes? Simone has already taken an interest in my wall so I figure it a matter time. Quote
