foraker Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Anyone use these? Compare/contrast with, say, BD nuts? Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 never used them, but the ultralight theme seems a little gimmicky here. though i haven't sized up a metolius #10 to a DMM #10, the weights are within 3g of each other and the DMM Walnuts are stronger. an advantage of a nut with a looped wire is that you could slide the nut back for a hangerless bolt or slide the nut back to use as a desperate sling. foraker Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 I think I'm more concerned about people's impressions of their safety but intrigued by the supposed advantages of their shape. I admit I haven't had one in hand yet, just read about them. I think their weight is no big deal. If I wanted to save weight, I'd lose five pounds of fat. ;-) Quote
fenderfour Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 The shape is the same as the old Metolius curve nuts. They are very easy to place, but also easy to fix. Quote
foraker Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 I've heard that about the old nuts - that you defintely break out the nut tool a lot more. Quote
pink Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 suck, i still use my old wild country and hb offsets Quote
