Leavenworth or Yosemite weather march 22

Putting together a trip spring break (last week of March). We'd love to hit up Yosemite, but looks like 9 days of sun is unlikely.

 

With all this snow, I have no idea how much of leavenworth will be open at that time. Anybody been over there yet and seen how much snow is up the Icicle, Pinnacles, or at Castle Rock?

 

Bummer about Tieton being closed for eagle nesting.

 

Other than Smith and Vantage, which will be fine, and Red Rocks (too far) anybody have suggestions for dry rock?

Best Spots for Dry Rock in March:

 

Yosemite:

Shhhhh, keep this one quiet.

Everything on the base of the Nose, and Lower should be dry. Really Cold nights though.

 

Vantage / Smith / Redrocks:

Obviously you allready know this one.

 

Pinnacles:

Think Vantage with Poison Oak. Decent Sport and some uninspiring trad routes. Some exceptions to the rule though. PM me for a list of favorites.

 

J Tree:

Good, but shorter than everyone lets on. Oh yeah, and too far south.

 

So I guess I will be seeing you at Vantage.

Ltown south facing good but some snow in shady areas. your best bet would be Junction crags area.

Got five days of perfect weather in Yosemite that time last year. Not sure if it would last nine days though.
