coug4 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Heading back to Bozeman from Seattle on the 24th/25th. May take a side trip to Banks Lake. Anyone interested in meeting out there? Quote
chrisr Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 The two climbs I know have been climbed in the last week are Falling Falls and the punch bowl. wish I could go. Quote
Paul_detrick Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 (edited) For those who want to save a trip, the only ice in now is the punchbowl, but it is in nice shape. Climbed there Saturday. Nothing is in from Soap lk up to the bowl, and is warm and sundy right now, so don't look good for this next weekend ether. Climbed falling falls Friday, but there is access isuses there. kevino Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Is anything in eastern washington in right now? Quote
Paul_detrick Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Went up climbing today and not much is in yet. Beer routes nothing, Guinness is in but looks thin at the top,Champagne very little ice at all,Children of the sun nothing, Clockwork orange frist pitch has ice but thin, 2nd pitch does not touch, 3rd pitch down but thin, nothing else is in but the punchbowl, lots of death sickles, so we climbed Trotsky's Revenge, fair shape good ice. Thats the update for banks. Paul Quote
chrisr Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 went to banks today and it's pretty much the same report as what paul said. Punchbowl was in great but the deathsickles were raining down. Trotskys revenge is still in but it was pouring water. The cable has a decent amount of ice, zenith and salt & pepper look thin but climbable. there's tons of ice all the way up but most have deteriorated at the top outs. Quote
