BillA Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Does such a thing exist? I couldn't find anything on the Canadian weather service site. Quote
G-spotter Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 It's gonna rain. That's the forecast. Quote

Buckaroo Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 The Weather Network has a park report which gets you closer to some of the peaks compared to environment Canada weather site which only does cities. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/parksfx/canparks_en you can also call the gear shops in Jasper, Banff and Lake Louise and usually get some helpful beta beyond the weather reports, like if there's fresh snow up high or what climbs are being done Quote
Buckaroo Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 You have to know which park your peak is in. Two examples would be Jasper National Park - Columbia Icefields, which has Mt Andromeda, Slipstream, Weeping Wall, Mt Alberta, North Twin. It's 50 miles from the nearest weather report city. And Glacier Nat Park, Mt Sir Donald (50 Classics), also about 50 mi from nearest large city. Gear shops are Gravity Gear in Jasper, and mountainmagic.com in Banff, don't know the Lake Louise shop but there is one at the shopping center there. Quote
