Slesse Climber Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 every fucking canadian skier has a faded bright colored fart bag one piece somewhere in their closet, as far as I can tell. I also still have my stretchy ski suit in my closet...should be back in style on of these years Quote
korup Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Are you all serious? I find it hard to beleive any BC skiers don't see the wisdom and benfits of bibs. Seriously, WFT? Maybe it is just a matter of "same planet, different world." Quote
ClimbingPanther Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 buyer beware? has arc returned once again to haunt the yard sale as rotary786? Quote
dbconlin Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I used to wear bibs (I admit). They are old Marmot version and I honestly could not imagine winter climbing without similar. I was fully intending to replace them with the pricey ARc'Teryx model when I could afford it. In the meantime, I picked up a pair of Patagonia Super Guide softshell pants. Now I don't want bibs anymore. ...And I know best... If you are intent on bibs, but haven't tried softshell, you may want to reconsider. Quote
counterfeitfake Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I don't understand- why do softshell pants make bibs obsolete? Sounds like apples and oranges. Quote
cj001f Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I don't understand- listen to the marketing better. they aren't the same, but each works well 90% of the time. In my experience the 10% where softshell sucks (cold wet rain) is much nastier to deal with than the 10% where hardshell sucks (warm temps where you shouldn't be wearing pants anywhere). Quote
