Didnt there used to be a great topo of the crossover descent here or on bivouac..? I cant seem to find it..or anything with great detail on the descent..

 

Any one have any recent beta on the North Slesse glacier..? Do you need crampons to get onto the N Rib ?

Im not too worried, but thought fer sure someone had posted this well drawn out topo somewhere..geuss not.

 

we'll see just asking about it proabably upset the weather gods and now it will rain

last time i was talking to KM about it he said just take a digicam up with you, shoot pics of the descent from the route, then view them on the way down and avoid all the bushes and cliffs that way

Ok so for starters my info is from the early 90s.

 

We came down by Crossover peak and it was a pretty hairball descent. We had ice axes but only wimpy hiking shoes. The descent was on hard snow that you could barely kick into with the shoes we had. We made it down, but there was a lot of stress involved. You have to traverse past a couple big chunks of stone with nasty fall potential.
