Wopper Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 OK, we have the best burger joint, how about the worst? What establishments would you recommend avoiding like the plague? My wife and I came off Mt. Adams a couple weeks ago and stopped in at the Big Horse Brewery in Hood River. It took and hour and a half for them to serve us a burger and philly cheese steak. The place was about half full, so I would hate to see it when it is busy. We could have been half way home by the time our food arrived. Needless to say, we will never return and unless you have lots of time to kill I would recommend staying away. How about your experiences? What places should people stay away from? Quote
Rodchester Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 I have been there too. The food is good, not great, and the service is slow. But As I remeber the waitresses were worth the wait. mmmm mmmm Quote
willstrickland Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 Easy: McMarket McDomination. If there was ever a poster child for the evils of globalization it's gotta be McD's. Shitty processed food, terrible wages, destruction of local culture, chemicals, hormones, did I mention shitty food? Please, please, please check out http://www.mcspotlight.org and see what the mass media won't be telling you anytime soon. I don't normally pitch web sites, but check this one out and adbusters http://www.adbusters.org as well. Ever wonder why tv lineups are called "programing" think about it, then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! -Will the Wanker Quote
Wopper Posted June 28, 2001 Author Posted June 28, 2001 Rodchester - When we were there the waitresses were not worth the wait. They did have a pretty cool dog on the back porch though. Quote

Beck Posted June 29, 2001 Posted June 29, 2001 Avoid Buffalo Run on highway 20 if you need to take less than two hours to eat. Quote
Gerg Posted June 29, 2001 Posted June 29, 2001 The Buffalo Run on hwy 20 is not only slow as shit, but the burgers suck. They're all preformed, frozen patties. Quote
