pazzo Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 (edited) i decided to climb Tricouni again a couple days ago, and noticed (i guess i missed it the last time due to the white out) a cool looking dyke (4th?) heading up the middle of the false summit. was just wondering if this has ever been climbed, or if it is even worth the mention? the dyke runs just to the left of the yellow lines... neat shot near the summit Edited August 7, 2007 by pazzo Quote
PaulB Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Tricouni is a popular and easily accessed peak. I would suspect that just about everything has been climbed at some point, but you never know. Quote
fern Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I'm trying to figure out which side of Tricouni this is on. North? in your first photo is the rightmost skyline the N.Ridge of Tricouni? bivouac.com probably gets more Tricouni-aware traffic than this site. Quote
G-spotter Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 this is the SW side? An scent of a very similar line was mentioned in a VOC journal from the early 90s, I believe. Quote
pazzo Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 the standard route, as per 'Scrambles' follows the snow to the second (higher summit) in the second pic. Quote
