Skatan Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Does anyone know the conditions, and typically when is the best time of year for this route? Quote
G-spotter Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 It often melts out in the summers, I have been told. If it forms, the best time for it will be late September or October just before the first significant snowfalls, or, right after they melt and before the second significant snowfall. Quote
Skatan Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 Thanks for the info, that's the time I was hoping to get up there. I did the NF of Athabasca the first week of Oct last year and conditions were great. Have you climb Humble Horse, it sounds like a great route? Quote
Marko Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Yep, it's a great route in a great place with a hell of a view of Alberta's north face after you top out. Quote
spotly Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 What kinda conditions did you get on Athabasca NF (including the glacier) that time of year? Quote
