From where we were, up a bit, we saw the 25 or so people that were in those vans at the TH as well. They looked to be on the trail on to Camp Lake, and were taking turns sliding down a snowbank. Pretty weird to watch from 1500 feet higher.

Picture of the ants practicing self arrests. Looked pretty funny to see them standing in one place, then they all would suddenly start sliding down the little slope.

We (dino and me) are headed up tomorrow and will bivy on the ridge somewhere sheltered in the scrub, then will try for the summit at O'dark:30 on Sat.

Anybody else planning to be up there? Just wondering.

If so, don't ferget to say 'hey' and give the secret cc.com handshake. ;)
