miker Posted June 20, 2001 Posted June 20, 2001 So I finally got out to Snow Creek Wall on Sunday and made it up Outer Space. Tons of fun, the crux was easier for me than the cracks up higher, but that is my issue. My only complaint was that someone seems to have stolen all the porn on Library Ledge, I mean that was the main reason I went up there. I did bring along a couple of my favorite beaver books to add to the pile, so I left those, but still I am very disappointed. I had the extra kleenex ready and everything. Oh yeah if anyone finds an ATC on a locking biner at the bottom of the wall that is mine, dropped from about the 6th pitch when I did not clip it properly to my harness. You can go ahead and use it if you want to trust it. ;( See Ya'll on the wall P.S.-Where can I campout up in Squamish without having to pay or reserve a month in advance? I'm cheap ya know. Quote
Yossarian Posted June 20, 2001 Posted June 20, 2001 Comming from the south, take a right off the freeway at the Squamish Mcdonalds. Stay to the left and drive past the Smoke Bluffs parking lot. Take a right at the stop sign and drive down the dirt road. You'll see campgrounds along the river. At least that's how I remember it. Quote
pope Posted June 20, 2001 Posted June 20, 2001 Mike, those items seem to disappear faster than fixed pitons. Maybe somebody should start a library card check-out system, so that we could send over-due notices to those who may have forgotten to return the Library's reading material. By the way, I'll bet that with a new supply of wanker magazines up there, we'll see a few more dropped ATC's and 'biners below Library Ledge. Quote
specialed Posted June 20, 2001 Posted June 20, 2001 Dude, you can camp anywhere you want around Squamish. That's why its so dope. I recommend the Gazebo in the park in the middle of town. But if you do camp in the pay area, be sure to pay. The 1st time I ever went to Squamish, I had the camp ground attendent track me down at the coffee shop the next morning because I tried to poach my camp site. He was remarkably polite about it though. [This message has been edited by specialed (edited 06-20-2001).] Quote
