PLC Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 My sister-in-law is looking for a local women's climbing group, where she can meet some new people, make some friends, get in some climbing, etc. I've taken her climbing before and I'd say she can climb 5.7 or 5.8, but she doesn't know how to lead or even tie a knot, for that matter. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Quote
carolyn Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 You may want to have her contact Passages Northwest www.passagesnw.org They are a great organizations with plenty of opportunities soley for women and girls. At the very least they can probably direct her to a less formal women's group or club. Quote
RuMR Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 and whatever you do, tell her to never ever visit this site! Quote
ybatom Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 There's a yahoo group and email listserve for women climbers in the Seattle area. The group is a forum for discussion of any climbing-related topic and a way for people to find partners. We also have occasional get-togethers that anyone is welcome to attend. I'll PM you about how to get on the list. Quote
