I heard David Brooks (the conservative NYT columnist) on NPR yesterday. He stated the Biden was one of the few plain spoken, interesting, and no bullshit politicians left in Washington.

i grew up pretty close to st.louis, mo. and in that part of the country black people hate white people and vice versa. i moved to potland when i was twenty-one and noticed how different it was there. there was no ghetto compared to e st. louis. and black people did not hate me there. things are still like that in st. louis and i am glad that i do not live there.
