As you are descending that bitch of a trail known as the Slesse Mountain trail down to Slesse creek what are the peaks you are looking at across Slesse creek to the West? (West of Slesse) There is one prominant pyramid looking one that looks like it would be a cool climb up one of the ridges. This cluster of peaks isn't in the BC select book nor can I make them out via Freds text descriptions.

There are american border peaks etc in that area. Rock supposedly horrible but looked cool to me as well. Snow gulleys etc. Looked like a thrash to get in from that side but hear there is a better approach.

Thanks Caveman. Judging by the lack of dark color on the glacier below the faces (usually a indicator of rockfall) I was thinking the right hand peaks looked good. The red ones looked shitty. Sometimes you are pleasantly surprised... Like sharkfin tower. The other rock both in front and behind it is choss. Nooksack ridge... this first part is good the last 2/3s is bad. The cascades are weird in that respect. One peak may be good rock and the one right next to it is shit. Who knows until you grovel up them.

I agree and that would be the Canadian Border Peak. I saw some good snow climbs off of one of the glaciers on the American Border Peak but it's going to take some motivation to get me there. So many peaks so little time. [big Drink]
