Julian Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 You won't find this story anywhere in the non-climbing mass media, but it's every bit as tragic as what took place on Mt. Hood: http://www.alpinist.com/doc/ALP18/newswire-hari-berger-dies-ice-climbing RIP to one of the world's greatest technical climbers. Adding to the tragedy is that Hari's girlfriend gave birth to their child the day after his death. For anyone going to Ouray there are plans in the works to organize a fundraiser for his family. ZimZam Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Unfortunate. I saw this guy at Ouray. He was an animal on the ice. What was nice is that he was approachable. Bummer. Prost Harry Quote

Weekend_Climberz Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Anyone else find it odd that he's on the latest Mountain Gear catalog's front cover? May he rest in peace Quote
