catbirdseat Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 To what degree are parts of the Switchblade interchangeable with the Mako? Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Hey Dave, got any mono's laying around for those?? Quote
dbb Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 don't have a mono/trident kit, sorry. maybe see if BD has some laying around? catbird- the switchblade and the Mako are the same crampon but the Mako came with the mono/trident kit by default. Quote
catbirdseat Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 (edited) So I have the Mako, which is great for mixed climbing. It works pretty good for ice climbing. I'm wondering if the Switchblade double point would be better for alpine ice climbing. Edited December 1, 2006 by catbirdseat Quote

So, maybe a stupid question, but I would deduce from this statement that the Make mono/trident kit can be attached to the switchblades? Talked to BD and they do fit, but the Mako trident points are out of production as well For everyone else's info, according to BD, they no longer make the SB mono point kits, though they do have some dual points left to sell, but these are also out of production. Sorry for the thread drift Dave Edited December 1, 2006 by Weekend_Climberz Quote
