powderhound Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 you guys have spent way to much time on these photo essay. However, they are quite great, and enjoyable. Quote
Raindawg Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Did you get my PM about your Figure-8? You want that sucker back or what? Feel free to answer my question in photo form. Quote
gavastik Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 wow, raindawg, this made me all warm and fuzzy inside (image from here: http://www.blackmoontides.com/note/n95.jpg) Quote
archenemy Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I went to the Killing Fields and saws the bones of people who were murdered by Pol Pot. Wow, I'll bet that was chilling. I didn't know that they left all those people's bones out there after Pol Pot's ouster in the mid-1980s. Did you read Survival in the Killing Fields per my suggestion? I have not yet, but I did get Children of Cambodias Killing Fields. The bones are not sitting outside in the fields; they are in a strange aquarium/temple looking thing. It is hard to look at. ] I actually started reading Flyboys instead (I think you are the person who suggested that to me) and am almost done. I feel a little funny reading it while here in Japan, but I didn:t expect to come this way so it was not planned. no harm no foul. Quote
sobo Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 I actually started reading Flyboys instead (I think you are the person who suggested that to me) and am almost done. Nope, wasn't me, but it sounds like a book that I should get my hands on. I love all that WWII stuff. Quote
