corvallisclimb Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I need a cheap but solid tent to set up in fire camps and I'm wondering if any one has had any experince with this tent link ? I would never want to leave my bibler set up, and I dont always have the best ground for a to set up my SD clip flashlight. Has any one used this brand of tent before? or Quote
Jarred_Jackman Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 I've been on some mulit-day kayaking trips with people who used this brand, it seems like it would work completely fine for 99% of situations. Only seriously heavy wind and heavy snowfall might hinder it. Looked like a decent ten though Quote
justybug Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 i just bought one of the 1.0 versions for a cheap overnighter for when i take the dog with me. seems to hold up just fine, quite a bit roomier than i thought it would be, sets up quick, sturdy enough floor. i'd leave it set up. and for the money, i'm sure it will work just fine. weight isn't too bad either. serious wind or snowfall would likely play havoc with it though. Couloir Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I have this Alps Mountaineering tent. I was skeptical at first, but I have put it into increasingly harsher conditions and it has performed great. I wouldn't use it where considerable snowfall is expected, but other than that it's a great tent. It's light, easy to set up and has ample room for two adults. I say Quote
