Crux Posted June 30, 2006 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Yesterday the conservative U.S. Supreme Court ruled that essentially everything the Bush administration is doing with prisoners in Guantanamo is in violation of Federal Law and the Geneva Conventions. In response, the President addressed the Whitehouse press corps and announced he will lobby the Republican Congress to overrule the court with legislation that will move the Presidency closer to absolute power.
