jenaya413 Posted May 22, 2001 Posted May 22, 2001 Hola folks, Being partner-less, I was thinking of doing some bouldering this weekend. I just recently started climbing, and don't know all the hotspots yet. I'm in Seattle and willing to spend up to 3 hours on the road, but no more than a half hour on the approach. Where would y'all recommend I go? Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted May 22, 2001 Posted May 22, 2001 Dont think that I am the best person to tell you but.. Try the swiftwater picknick area off Highway 2. Get a Leavenworth ROck book at your local gear shop to view details. Or just drive into the Icicle and find a boulder they are aplenty. Quote
ScottP Posted May 22, 2001 Posted May 22, 2001 Rattlesnake Lake is out by North Bend (30 minutes from Seattle) and since the water level is so low, there are exposed boulders with some good problems. Quote
jayswang Posted May 23, 2001 Posted May 23, 2001 Definately the best spot for bouldering in the statle lies in Leavenworth. There are a ton of problems out there yet to be discovered. Forest Land Boulders and Mad Meadows are two excellent spots. Quote

mikeadam Posted May 25, 2001 Posted May 25, 2001 There is currently construction on the road heading out to the Pearly Whites (The boulders on Mountain Home Road) so bring a mountain bike or be prepared to park and hike a ways. Mike Adamson Quote
