John Frieh Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Does anyone know what the ordinance is for maximum height of a structure in a residential zone in the city of Portland? I.e. If I wanted to erect 1 (or more) telephone poles on my property what is the maximum height I am allowed? 6 pack if you can tell me what it is... Quote
willstrickland Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 If it's a single family dwelling, it depends on the zoning: RF, R10, R20, R7, R5 all have 30ft limitations and R2.5 has 35ft. However, this is for the dwelling itself. I assume outstructures are limited to the same restrictions. 29.30.020 of the Portland city code addresses accessory structures thus: "All accessory structures on residential property shall be maintained structurally safe and sound and in good repair. Exterior steps and walkways shall be maintained free of unsafe obstructions or hazardous conditions. " Here's a good place to start: http://www.portlandonline.com/planning/index.cfm?&a=64609&c=36238 TG, IPA. Thank you. Quote
John Frieh Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 IPA it is When you moving down? I wonder how hard it is to get rezoned as a church... no height limitations there I could reopen the 24 hour church of elvis or better yet start a new cult... Drytooler's Witness? Seventh Day Adventurist? The church of jesus twight of latter day drytoolers? I nominate Ivan to be the pastor Quote
ivan Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I nominate Ivan to be the pastor done - but jim opdyke's gonna be the pope and only queers can marry and i get all the 19 year old virgins (though admittedly there's probably something wrong w/ a girl of such age if she meets that bill ) - layton can have 'em for further testing once The Twight's arch-minion's happy Quote
