Off_White Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 We got a lot of rain overnight, and it persisted into the morning. The wall doesn't look bad, but holds feel slightly damp and I thing the sandstone will be a little tender and prone to breakage. I'd really like to climb, but prudence dictates that its not in the cards for tonight. Sorry everyone.
Off_White Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 40% chance of rain tonight, we'll see how it shakes out. I'll be up in Seattle until 4pm, so I'll be a late arrival and ya'll will have to make your own call on the weather. Here's hoping for a little Indian Summer goodness to support a late season.
miladugga Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I'll be out there by 4:30. If we get shut down I'll post as soon as I can.
Off_White Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 We're dragging down to the end of the season, but the weather looks good this evening and there are dry routes. Unfortunately, I booked a meeting for 5pm tonight back when I thought it would be raining, so I may not make it, but all ya'll regulars should think about coming out.
Off_White Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 (edited) [font:Arial Black]October 7th 2009[/font] Â Weather looks stellar for this Wednesday, and you never know which week will be the season closer. Crisp temps are good for climbing hard, a fine opportunity to put your end of season skillz to work. It's getting darker earlier, so come early. Â Â Edited October 7, 2009 by Off_White
Off_White Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Yes, I believe we have room for you on the lanai... Â

Drederek Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Any chance of quarry climbing tomorrow Off? Weather forecast is prime for the early afternoon.
Off_White Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 I haven't been to look, but there are dry routes for sure. This is a good opportunity to get your Quarry In November merit badge. Â I'm pulling for December, still the only month we haven't been able to climb anything on the crag. Â December 08
Drederek Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Hey Off, do you think it'll dry out by the weekend? I'm guessing its not dry yet. D
Off_White Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Funny you should ask, I was just walking down the driveway to work, admiring the clear skies and profile of the crag and wondering if this might not be the opportunity to tick the first ever December ascent of a route at the Quarry. I'll go look later today, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least Calvin & Hobbes was dry. Possible rain on the horizon for Friday though...
Drederek Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 The weather looks good tomorrow Off, I may be able get some of the afternoon off if you want and we're able to get on something, just let me know and I'm in. If the weather holds into the weekend (and its dry) a few regulars will make it out for sure
Off_White Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 I could get some afternoon off for sure. I didn't get a good look at the crag today though, a bushy tree has come down across my usual access path, but it sure looked nice out today. Gimme a call on my cell.
Off_White Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 At long last, success: we've now climbed on the quarry in every month of the year. Four pitches and I'm a happy boy... Â Â Â Sasha is pretty happy too
Willapakid Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 im a college student in olympia, and I am unsure of how to get to this crag, anyone have directions?
sobo Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 It's on Off White's private property. It's his crag. You'll need to talk to him directly. It's out of season now, but he opens it up again in the spring. Just bookmark this thread and check back in the spring.
Off_White Posted December 31, 2009 Author Posted December 31, 2009 Yup, what Sobo said. Send me a pm with your email address, I'll put you in the loop for when the crag dries out.
Off_White Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 I'll shuffle over this afternoon and take a gander, let ya'll know the prognosis.
jibby Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Patience is a virtue....Except when waiting to climb after winter withdrawals...Has the frost ruined the opportunities?
