If you are in PDX, there is plent of snow before the gate on larch mtn rd. and the side road (I forgot the name of the road right now,the one rigght off to the righ from the gate) that should suffice your wheelin in tha snow pleasure... I got a little stuck this last weekend up there, it's a little slushy in some of the lower spots... But there is a good mile of snow covered road (read two feet or more) from the "Mt. Hood Forest sign up to the gate... Quote

I doubt you can get around the gate on the west side, and even if you could they haven't plowed anywhere near far enough to get to the good skiing. Plus the man would put you down. Quote
