EWolfe Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 It will always be The end of time The end of law The end of life The dogs will howl And yank the leash From tree to tree From each to each Does the man who makes the shoes own you, clown? You can’t even pry the nameplate off, now can you? Fix it with your tiny fist there James Van Der Beek and them sisters from Sister, Sister The only one that’s ever felt this is you The force that’s forcing you To feel like busting up a Starbucks. This bitter drink Has made you drunk The thoughts you think Become unthunk The sea’s ablaze The sky is too The water’s red And the flames are blue Nyack! Ronkonkoma! East Orange! Piscataway! Quote
EWolfe Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 My Chiropractor is going to China for a whirlwind week. One of his stops is the Forbidden City. He told me the only "store" in the three-mile hike through is a Starbucks, half-way. Quote
underworld Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 you mean he had to walk a whole mile and a half to get to 'bucks? Quote
EWolfe Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 Yes, he will have to. Mixed blessing, there BTW, Mike Doughty and the cuts I have heard from Ray Davies new album are good, too! Quote
MatthewS Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 (edited) Here's a picture I took of the Forbidden City when I was there a few years ago - the Starbucks is circled. At least it was kind of discreet. Edit: Guess I have no idea how to attach an image - let's see....bah! forget it! Edited February 7, 2006 by MatthewS Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The only one that’s ever felt this is you The force that’s forcing you To feel like busting up a Starbucks. 'cause baby, I'm an anarchist you're a spineless liberal we marched together for the eight-hour day and held hands in the streets of Seattle but when it came time to throw bricks through that Starbucks window you left me all alone all alone Quote
