selkirk Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Does anyone know if (and where?) I could get a replacement tongue for a set of Denali XT's (size 9)? I've got a crack growing in the middle of one and it doesn't really look easily repairable. Thanks all!! Quote
iain Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 they are not repairable, trust me on this. I sent two back to BD (covered in epoxy when I tried to glue them back together several times) and they called me saying they would send me some new ones. Unfortunately they said they were on a boat from Italy. Have not heard back from them (it has been about a month). I think you can buy them straight-up, but they are about $50 if I'm not mistaken. Pretty popular, since people buy them to replace in their softer boots. Quote
selkirk Posted January 28, 2006 Author Posted January 28, 2006 hmmm, I sent BD an e-mail and hopefully i'll hear back from them soon and be able to pick up a new pair. The only think I could think of that might actually work would be to rivet, or maybe use lots of epoxy, and fix a couple of relatively stiff plastic strips on the inside of the tongue to keep it stiff. Does REI or Second Ascent or anyone else possibly cary them? Quote
Ziff Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 selkirk, I bought a pair this fall to put on my laser's but did not like them (way too stiff). If scarpa can't help, let me know as I am looking to get rid of them. I only used them one day and they are grey and Size 9. Ziff Quote
cj001f Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Ziff- I'm interested in your Denali tongues. Quote
