ScottP Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 A classic tidbit today: (I sent my advisor some ideas an an email a few days ago.) Him, interrupting my analysis of the Zuu matrices: But what if we could improve the stability by (idea that I sent him in email)? Me: Yeah, that's a really good idea! I'm sorry, but it seems pretty spineless that you didn't at least remind him you'd sent that very idea in an e-mail "a few days ago". Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Funny, because the "make him think my idea is his idea" is about the most useful tactic I have for getting a long with my professor. Most requests for money or something start with "remember how you were saying/thinking....." Quote
