I try not to think about all the stuff in the hospital that lurks on almost every surface. We have some heavy dutie hand cleaners all over the place but you never know. Stuff like hep c can live on a surface for a week and you may not know that you have it until your liver is so fucked up that it's too late. There are all sorts of resistant bacteria around now and we have to go into isolation rooms all the time to fix stuff. It really gives me the creeps.

My aunt died of hep c, it went undetected for 10 years, then it was too late.

 

I have also started opening inswinging bathroom doors in public places with the papertowel before throwing it away. Also, opening outswinging doors with an elbow.

My GF is very careful about germs, and I have picked up some tricks from her.
