bunglehead Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Question: Why did the president suspend the Prevailing Wage law (the Davis Bacon act) for workers involved in the post Katrina re-construction without explicitly stipulating that the offset in savings reduce the rebuiliding contracts by the amount saved? I mean if it's to "reduce the burden on taxpayers" like he claims, then why is that loophole left wide open for contractors to line their pockets with? Reeks of sneaky... Quote
