Cool, i found it. Looks like a pretty sweet place. So is it true that the valley (S fork Shoshone, right?) gets very little snow? I've heard you don't generally need any sort of skis or snowshoe gear to get into stuff?

yes. it is as good as people say. I'm going back this winter for sure. thumbs_up.gif

 

no flotation needed. Decent approaches. You can camp for free (cold) in the South Fork or stay at Bison Bill's (or something like that) for about $20/person/night.
