I have been climbing there, though it was not in December. I would assume that there would be plenty to do. There is alot of climbing within close proximity to Cala Gonone (sp). Also, tendering a boat ride to Cala Luna is a must do! It was 14 euro a couple years ago, which got you a ride there and back (you could camp there as well and return when you want).

What would it be like in December/January???

Grew up a few (HA!) kilometers north of there, near Pisa. While it was a might colder/rainier in winter up there, you should be quite comfortable during the day at Sardinia's latitude. Take some fleece for the cooler days/nights. Have a blast; I loved living it Ialy!

I purchased a guidebook (translated even) at the local fishing/climbing/camping shop on the main drag of Cala Gonone. It was fairly extensive and offered information pertaining to single and mutlipitch routes.
