ncascademtns
I was up on Ragged Ridge this past weekend and was surprised (or maybe not) that the original summit register on Cosho Peak was still intact. Very few entries. The register on Kimtah Peak was placed in 1994 and since then, only a handful of entries.
klenke
Those two names look familiar. Didn't they move down to Yosemite and put in big wall routes on El Capitan?
Stefan
Cosho is not the end of Ragged Ridge.....
klenke
Thy end of RR as a landform is RM or 4oJP if you want to look at it that way... . But the end of RR as a toponym (what the map implies) is Ragged End (Cosho).
skykilo
He's climbed a handful of peaks in the Cascades, no?
ncascademtns
Yes, Red Mountain is the end of Ragged Ridge to the northwest but I think for John and Jerry, the real Ragged Ridge ended at Cosho.
ncascademtns
I sent this photo to Lowell yesterday and he said it brought back great memories.
John_Roper
Ragged Ridge on June 6, 1970. Second peak down page. www.rhinoclimbs.com/Top100byP400.91-100.htm JR is looking a little more Cosho-ish, these days.
