Stavrogin Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 the swiss are covering up thier glaciers to fight global warming... STORY seems kind of crazy? Quote
Phil K Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Crazy? Compared to say, ignoring the overwhelming scientific evidence that we have a bit of a problem with global warming and having our federal gummint run by a bunch of insane greedheads who consider it more important to pump every possible dollar into the hands of the super wealthy even if it requires a major war and a willfull ignorance of the facts? Hmmmm, lemmie think about it. Quote

mec Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Maybe we should build a bigass freezer and bring it up to the alps to help chill the area out. Hell, we can put them all over the world to combat this so-called global warming. Quote
Stavrogin Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 now we're talking! may we can all just leave the doors open on our freezers too. Quote
Mark_Husbands Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Did you read the article? They aren't "fighting global warming" with this blanket, they are trying to avert more costly measures of keeping their ski area open. The real point is that dealing with climate change consumes real resources, and understanding the contribution of human activities to climate change is part of finding intelligent, economically efficient solutions. Plus, the Republicans are at fault. Quote
jmace Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Crazy like snow making, woa now thats crazy, I hope Phil does not do anything that burns fossil fuels and grows his own food, otherwise he will have to face the fact that he is part of the problem and should probably go over and help set up that blanket Quote
jmace Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Blanket party? I think someone needs a serious pound down to quell all this pent up frustration, then again we wouldnt be privy to all this sexually orientated spray Quote
archenemy Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 I thought a blanket party was when you pull a blanket over someone and the group of ya beat him up. No sex involved. Quote
jmace Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Good thing you told me, Ill be sure to remember that if Im ever invited to one, could of had some serious consequences with my prior beliefs about a blanket party Quote
