Did you read the article? They aren't "fighting global warming" with this blanket, they are trying to avert more costly measures of keeping their ski area open.

 

The real point is that dealing with climate change consumes real resources, and understanding the contribution of human activities to climate change is part of finding intelligent, economically efficient solutions.

 

Plus, the Republicans are at fault.
