RJB Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 (edited) I've been rock climbing for a number of years but plan to try some alpine climbs this spring. If you have some old gear that will last for one more season shoot me a pm. Don't need anything fancy just basic glacier travel for May/June. Planning on Mt Stuart this month. A Rainier attempt in May, then Adams and possibly Hood. I'd rent but I feel better getting to know my gear. I'm low on funds because work has been sketchy the past few months so be fair I'm looking for: boots 10.5 US Mens crampons ice axe 70-75cm pickets other stuff mabie if the price is right. Thanks Edited April 13, 2005 by RJB Quote
kola Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Greetings: I have a few things f.s., some posted by Kola under "Ice Climbing Gear" and some not yet posted. From by posted list, I have a pair of Grivel F2 crampons that are very versatile -- they can be made rigid or semi-rigid by a bolt change. While mine are a few years old, Grivel still makes them so they have proved popular. My F2s are in excellent shape, as only used a few times. Only a few scratches from the few times used. NOTE: They have metal toe and heel bails (NOT toe straps) so you'll need boots with toe welt or slot to accomodate. From my gear box, I also have clothing, altimeter, maybe a sleeping bag, a pair of rigid crampons (Grivel Rambo) and some other stuff. What are you looking for???????? I'm a poor farmer, so tell me what $$$ you have in mind. Thanks Quote
genepires Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 you must be a really short hobbit or something to need a 10.5 pair of boots but a 70 mm axe! That axe is 2.75 inches tall! I got some leather mountainering boots and plastic boots your size. Drop me a line on which you prefer. I also have some 30m glacier ropes if you need. (freebie) Quote
