I tried to go to that last year. I spent a bunch of time waiting in line, but they never let anyone in.

 

I like the NWAC, but I don't think I'll waste my time.

I apologize if you couldn't get in last year. I believe the Freemont Unconventional Center expanded into the space that used to be RedHook's keg storage area. Hopefully this means that we'll be able to accomodate many more people this year. I'll confirm / deny that rumor and post again ASAP.

The FUNC's builing capacity is ~500 and we've added a tent this year, so there will certainly be more space.

Yo Clyde:

I was talking to Garth the other night and he indicated that the Center has not been fully funded for this season yet. He didn't say whether or not there was any doubt that they could keep the forecasts updated this season, but he said they were only "partially funded for the year." What's up? If we don't show up, are you guys goint to be in a bad way? It almost sounds as if it might be irresponsible not to show.

The Avvy Center is $27,000 in the red for this year, so if additional funding is not obtained, the forecasts will end around March---meaning spring skiing & climbing forecasts will not be available.
