Thrill Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 climb max offers 15% for any rock gym members Quote
Ireneo_Funes Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Plus I think climb max gives you 15% off on pro when you buy 3 or more pieces, rock gym membership or not. At least that's the deal they've given me a couple of times. Â Best gear shop in town, hands down, in my opinion. Quote
Couloir Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Best gear shop in town, hands down, in my opinion. I agree. Those cats are awesome. Enthusiastic and always into showing you stuff and swapping ideas. Great place! Quote
TradOrDeath Posted February 24, 2005 Author Posted February 24, 2005 Best gear shop in town, hands down, in my opinion. Â Unless you need a jacket, backpack, sleeping bag, tent, or anything ski-related. Called Omc this morning and they said theirs also applies to all the gyms in town, and covers everything in the store. Â I'm not wanting especially to get into a debate about best gear shops, just didn't know this and thought other people might not either. Quote
Thrill Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Climb Max carries some of the best Alpine packs you can buy and a good selection of down or synthetic sleeping bags as well as all the clothes you would need to summit. Yeah if you need some sticks or bindings maybe you should hit up the bunny shops like US Outdoor or OMC but when it comes to climbing.. you can’t beat Climb Max.  Secondly if you want skis, bindings or boots.. hit up The Mountain Shop they match any sale price that OMC give you. Winter Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Climb Max usually meets or beats any price I can find on gear they carry. Quote
rbw1966 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Another for Climb Max. Although they don't have a very good selection on attire they are the best climbing shop in town. And fair. Â When I bought some crampons recently I noticed they had Bionics with a price on the box that was not the same as the price on the display--the price on the box was significantly less. When I asked about this I was told they had bought out another store's inventory and hadn't gotten around to changing the prices on the box yet. Regardless, he gave me the lower price. Â All the stores in the local area have their niche. I think we're pretty lucky to have so many to make the field more competitively priced. Quote
Thrill Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 what's up with this Rebecca person and all the scam postings.. oh, oh if you hurry now and sign up you can win a free brain.. no strings attached! Quote
texplorer Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I agree, and support any of the local gear shops. Â I would also like to mention Backcountry gear for online purchases. They are located here in the NW and have always given me excellent service. Quote
oscar Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Did you just get out of class there junior? Do you want to meet out by the bunny hill or the bike racks at Starbucks instead for a non-fat climbmax latte? Quote
